Samarpada: A Step Forward in Building Futures with Raksha Foundation

At the heart of every child’s potential is the need for safety, care, and a nurturing environment. In the rural village of Samarpada, this belief is being brought to life through a powerful collaboration between a local government school and the Raksha Foundation. Together, we’re building not just infrastructure, but a strong, value-driven community for children—especially those without families to support them.

A Safe Haven for Orphans and Underprivileged Children

The Samarpada Project emerged from a pressing need: many children attending the local government school were orphans or came from deeply underprivileged backgrounds. Without stable housing, even the most basic elements of childhood—education, safety, and community—were often out of reach.

In response, Raksha Foundation stepped in to sponsor a new hostel building—a vital addition to the school, constructed directly atop the existing structure. This new space offers a home for the children to stay safely, rest peacefully, and grow confidently.

While this marks a significant milestone, the journey is far from over. The hostel, though new and much-needed, currently does not have enough capacity to house all 55 children. This highlights both the scale of the need and the opportunity to expand our impact with continued support.

Living and Learning in Harmony

Beyond shelter, the Samarpada Project is a holistic initiative. It’s about more than bricks and mortar—it’s about building lives. The children live together in an atmosphere of care and mutual respect, guided by mentors and educators who emphasize not just academics but the values, life skills, and artistic expression that help shape complete, empowered individuals.

From drawing and dance to team-building exercises and daily routines rooted in empathy and discipline, the children are being prepared not just to pass exams—but to face life with strength and purpose.
